A dream can sometimes be a relentless burden.
That job promotion. That writing gig. That volunteer opportunity. That relationship. That dream project. That tour. That vacation. What you’re dreaming about may seem far off. It may seem like it will never happen; like it’s some sort of distant, foggy, abstract idea destined to never come to life. It’s what we hope for, but it could never become reality. Right?
Wrong. Maybe you need to hear it: what you are hoping for can happen.
The key to advancing your dream from abstract to reality is to relentlessly push through the fog of unknown. To envision exactly what you’re hoping for. To be brave enough to push through the noise and to start walking toward the dream. Whatever your dream is, what if you could see the end result? What if you could see the product of all your struggles, sacrifices, and hard work? What if you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that your critics will someday eat their words? How would that change what you are doing to advance the dream today? How would that confidence shape what you’re now doing?
You must be brave today. Do the hard work which must be done for your dream to take the next step. Make the sacrifice. Write the chapter. Make the call. Design the site. Chart the course and start walking. Or else, your dream will always be just that … a dream. So the question isn’t whether or not your dream will become reality. The question is whether or not your brave enough to act like it’s already happening.
What are you going to do this week to advance your dream?

Really dig this. Awesome way to look at things and gain new perspective to find the hope and inspiration needed to make my dreams come alive. You’ve done it again, J. Kauf.
